How It Works

How Delivery Works

Delivery is available for every order. Once a palm is selected, our crew roots-wraps and prepares it in the field, loads it onto a trailer or flatbed, and delivers it to your site — ready to plant.

The farm is at 6355 69th St in Vero Beach, in Indian River County, and delivery is available for every order. Tell us the address of your planting site when you call at 772-778-3006 and we will confirm delivery for your location. Delivery is for getting the palm to your site; planting is guided by our written care sheet, so ask when you call if you need help with a specific site.

A little preparation on your end makes delivery day smoother. We suggest deciding where each palm will go before the truck arrives, clearing a path wide enough for a trailer or flatbed and a loader to reach the spot, and having the planting hole ready or the site marked so the palm can be set without long delays.

Root Prep in the Field

Our crew prepares and root-wraps each palm in the field before it’s ever moved.

Loaded & Hauled

Root-wrapped palms are lifted by loader onto a trailer or flatbed for transport.

Delivered to Your Site

Delivery is available for every order, anywhere your project needs it.

After Delivery

Planting Done Right

Getting a palm delivered is only half the job — planting it correctly is what determines whether it thrives. We give every customer clear guidance covering hole size, planting depth, backfill, watering, and fertilizing so your new palm gets off to a strong start. Timing your delivery for the right season matters — see our guide on the best time to plant a Sylvester palm in Florida.

The basics are simple. Dig the hole about twice as wide as the root system, but only deep enough to plant the palm at the same depth it was grown, so the trunk sits at ground level and is never buried. Backfill with a soil and gravel mix, pack out air pockets, build a soil dam around the base, and soak the area fully. The planting and care guide walks through each step, and our care guide covers watering and fertilizing afterward.

Common Questions

Delivery & Planting FAQ

Do you deliver every Sylvester palm order?

Yes. Delivery is available for every order. The crew root-wraps the palm in the field, loads it with a loader onto a trailer or flatbed, and delivers it to your site.

How much does delivery cost?

We do not publish a delivery price because it depends on the palm and where it is going. Call the farm at 772-778-3006 with your planting address for a quote.

Can I pick out my own palm before it is delivered?

Yes. Customers are welcome to visit the farm in Vero Beach, walk the rows and choose the exact palm for their project. Call ahead before you visit.

How soon should I plant a palm after it arrives?

Plant it as soon as possible. If planting has to wait, leave the root wrap on and keep the palm in a shady, well-ventilated spot until you are ready to plant.
